Spectators: 7258 (Terracing: 5445, Seating: 1669, VIP seats: 144) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when José Carlos Chaves took the kick off in the first half of the match. Fábio das Neves who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Wilton Soares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. With an all-out effort, Beverini's Wilton Soares threw himself towards the right post 11 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Fellipe Domingues, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Wilton Soares didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristian Severo went, in the 14th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. 18 minutes into the game, Beverini's Cristian Severo nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilton Soares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by José Carlos Chaves in the 24th minute of play forced Beverini's goalkeeper Joélson Senna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 30th minute, Ihum's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Vitório Godoi fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 37th match minute, Beverini was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Acácio Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the Beverini defense, Donato Sergipano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Joélson Senna. The Beverini fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Joélson Senna should have stopped the shot. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Fábio das Neves took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Wilton Soares. Wilton Soares dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-1. Fellipe Domingues received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Wilton Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Acácio Pimenta had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Wilton Soares stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fábio das Neves's shot from short distance in the 63rd minute. When the match had gone on for 66 minutes, Fábio das Neves put it in 4-1 from a short distance just to the right of Wilton Soares. The crowd rose to their feet as Ihum's Adriano Carneiro slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Joélson Senna. That made the score 4-2 after 75 minutes of play. Fábio das Neves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 80th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ihum's Wilton Soares played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fábio das Neves in the 87th minute of play.
