In the 5th minute Elivélton Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 6th match minute, Heavy Metal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Giovani Abreu to maneuver through the defense. In the 7th minute of the match José Maria Esteves shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Dráusio Toledo showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cacá de Medeiros in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dráusio Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 11 minutes into the game, Santoryu FC's Naldo Costa nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dráusio Toledo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. João Vítor Messias showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horácio Vasconcelos in the 15th minute of the match. In the 18th minute, Dé Furlan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Dé Furlan fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santoryu FC's protests and gave Dé Furlan a yellow card for diving instead. After 23 played minutes Santoryu FC got a freekick which was hit by Dé Furlan. After 24 played minutes Santoryu FC got a freekick which was hit by Ramiro Prestes. After a defensive mix-up in Heavy Metal's zone, Naldo Costa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dráusio Toledo came out of the goal and Naldo Costa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cacá de Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Dráusio Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Naldo Costa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 44 minutes into the match, Elivélton Mattos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of João Vítor Messias. Santoryu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Elivélton Mattos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. After the first half Heavy Metal were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Elivélton Mattos made a kick off. After having played for 60 minutes, Elivélton Mattos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Heavy Metal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Elivélton Mattos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 63rd minute Elivélton Mattos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Vítor Messias saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Elivélton Mattos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Vítor Messias made an important save on a dangerous shot by Horácio Vasconcelos in the 69th minute. Santoryu FC's João Vítor Messias proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Santoryu FC from getting a goal against them. Elivélton Mattos received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. João Vítor Messias came out and tried to block the shot, but Elivélton Mattos slotted it home off the left post making it 1-3 in the 85th minute. Heavy Metal's Lucas Gaúcho shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 88th minute of play. The shot was stopped by João Vítor Messias but with some difficulty. In the 93rd minute, Elivélton Mattos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santoryu FC's João Vítor Messias played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elivélton Mattos in the 96th minute of play. The Santoryu FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Heavy Metal's performance. The match ended with a win for Heavy Metal.
