Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Maurício dos Santos took the kick off in the first half of the match. Dráusio Toledo made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Aílton Porto sent off a good shot on target. Heavy Metal's Dráusio Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 10th minute of the match, managed to save Heavy Metal from getting a goal against them. Heavy Metal's Dráusio Toledo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kléber Cordeiro in the 14th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Maurício dos Santos in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dráusio Toledo saved Heavy Metal from getting behind. Maurício dos Santos took the ball and in the 18 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Dráusio Toledo. Dráusio Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Aílton Porto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dráusio Toledo having to interfere. Aílton Porto could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Dráusio Toledo made a huge save. After having played for 33 minutes, Aílton Porto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tapiara's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aílton Porto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Elivélton Mattos came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Heavy Metal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Elivélton Mattos couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Elivélton Mattos made the kick off in the second half. 51 minutes into the match, Tapiara's goal looked a bit too open when Elivélton Mattos came free, but Doriva de Alcântara reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Horácio Vasconcelos came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Heavy Metal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Vasconcelos couldn't finish the play. A collision led to Tapiara getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Kléber Cordeiro hit a great ball. Doriva de Alcântara made a fantastic save in the 56th minute, when Horácio Vasconcelos sent off a good shot on target. Dráusio Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Maurício dos Santos in the 61st minute of the match. Maurício dos Santos scored 3-0 in the 62nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dráusio Toledo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Elivélton Mattos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva de Alcântara having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aílton Porto in the 75th minute of play forced Heavy Metal's goalkeeper Dráusio Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Horácio Vasconcelos might have been able to make a better finish in the 78th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Doriva de Alcântara. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Horácio Vasconcelos ran back to his position shaking his head. Horácio Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Tapiara's Doriva de Alcântara got control of the ball when Alfredo Aguiar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dráusio Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maurício dos Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Elivélton Mattos's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Doriva de Alcântara read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. Ademar Brasil kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. Heavy Metal's Dráusio Barral couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 94th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tapiara. Horácio Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Doriva de Alcântara having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Tapiara had won after a very even match.
