With a couple of smart ball manuevers Túlio Magalhães in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Luiz Paulo Cosme saved EC Cubatão from getting behind. A collision led to EC Cubatão getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Nilson Prata hit a great ball. A hard shot 37 in the game by Alfredinho Urbano from a close distance when the talented Luiz Paulo Cosme managed to make a qualified save. EC Cubatão's players were relieved. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Duda Macedo during the 41st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Paranapolis had played much better football throughout.
