After a rather tough play, S.E. Bento XVI's Adhemar Cearense got a free kick in the 5th minute. Durval Souto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredinho Urbano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Claudinei Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adhemar Cearense's late challenge caught a Paranapolis's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adhemar Cearense helped the player get up and apologised. Adhemar Cearense hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Túlio Magalhães struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Durval Souto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paranapolis. Durval Souto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alfredinho Urbano, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alfredinho Urbano in the 16th minute of play forced S.E. Bento XVI's goalkeeper Durval Souto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Robinho de Queiroz hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. The crowd rose to their feet as Claudinei Alcântara kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Falcão Barral. That made the score 1-0 in the 26 minute of play. Túlio Magalhães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Souto having to interfere. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Túlio Magalhães to strike the kick off in the second half. 55 minutes into the game, Túlio Magalhães recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Durval Souto. Túlio Magalhães showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Túlio Magalhães received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Durval Souto tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Túlio Magalhães in the 62nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Durval Souto prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Alfredinho Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Durval Souto stood somewhat misplaced when Túlio Magalhães came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 73 minute. Alfredinho Urbano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 80th play minutes Túlio Magalhães shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Durval Souto and just under the crossbar into goal. Robinho de Queiroz's late challenge caught a S.E.
