Adhemar Cearense helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Divino booed when S.E. Bento XVI was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adhemar Cearense didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 13th minute Guto Baptista shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Durval Souto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, Doni Figueiredo notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Divino's Silas da Silva. Silas da Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Doni Figueiredo who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 21stth minute tested the skills of Silas da Silva when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 23rd minute, Divino's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Doni Figueiredo fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. When the match had gone on for 28 minutes, Víktor Veiga took a quick shot and it went in 3-0 without a chance for Silas da Silva to make any attempt to save it. Víktor Veiga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Silas da Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arí Cerezo kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Durval Souto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Guto Baptista in the 58th minute of play. In a very dangerous position, a player in Divino fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! Silas da Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Víktor Veiga, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. After 86 minutes Divino's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Oséas Lopez who took care of the corner kick. The corner ended in Claudinei Alcântara almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Divino's Silas da Silva did a great save. When the match clock showed 89 minutes, the score became 5-0 when Víktor Veiga sped through Divino's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Silas da Silva. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doni Figueiredo in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Silas da Silva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. S.E. Bento XVI walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
