Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Túlio Magalhães took the kick off in the first half of the match. With an all-out effort, Paranapolis's Júnior Couto threw himself towards the right post 5 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Túlio Magalhães, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Júnior Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Túlio Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Alfredinho Urbano got free with Júnior Couto in the 10th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Paranapolis booed when Saboo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. André Mota didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alfredinho Urbano struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Júnior Couto didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Paranapolis. Luisinho Godoi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 23rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Júnior Couto. Saboo EC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Alfredinho Urbano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 26th minute, Paranapolis's Túlio Magalhães ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Júnior Couto. Júnior Couto yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. After some fancy dribbling in the 30th minute, Alfredinho Urbano managed to get in a good position for a shot. Paranapolis's supporters rose to their feet, but Alfredinho Urbano was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júnior Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Alfredinho Urbano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Júnior Couto read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Saboo EC's Júnior Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Túlio Magalhães in the 35th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Saboo EC's André Mota got a free kick in the 36th minute. Júnior Couto stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Túlio Magalhães's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. Benê Guimarães hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match. The supporters of Saboo EC booed when Paranapolis was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benê Guimarães didn't get a good kick on the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when André Mota made the kick off in the second half. 58 minutes into the match, Túlio Magalhães notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Saboo EC's Júnior Couto. Júnior Couto was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 64th minute, Ricardo Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 66th match minute, Paranapolis was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Fernando Salles to maneuver through the defense. Paranapolis's Túlio Magalhães got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 72nd minute Alfredinho Urbano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Júnior Couto saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Alfredinho Urbano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 77th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Couto having to interfere. Falcão Barral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ricardo Bittencourt in the 80th minute of play. 80 minutes into the game, Ricardo Bittencourt recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Falcão Barral. Ricardo Bittencourt showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Márcio Pombal's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 84thth minute, Falcão Barral skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After a rather tough play, Paranapolis's Pedro Augusto Severo got a free kick in the 84th minute. Falcão Barral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Mota in the 86th minute of the match. Júnior Couto showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Túlio Magalhães, who was totally free with the ball in the 93rd minute. 95 minutes into the match, Paranapolis's goal looked a bit too open when Márcio Pombal came free, but Falcão Barral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 97 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Túlio Magalhães sped through Saboo EC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júnior Couto. When the referee ended the match the Paranapolis players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
