Cairú Futebol Clube's Sidney Braga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doni Sarmento in the 32nd minute of play. José Pedro Nóbrega kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. Doni Sarmento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Sidney Braga tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Doni Sarmento made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Cairú Futebol Clube's goalkeeper Sidney Braga, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
