In the 11th minute, Víktor Veiga made a precise shot to the right of Fellipe Queirós. Holandés Volador F.C's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Leopoldo Martins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Durval Souto having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jeremias Araújo got free with Durval Souto in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Leopoldo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Doni Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 97th minute, the S.E. Bento XVI fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Doni Figueiredo couldn't finish the play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched S.E. Bento XVI eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
