The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Vânderson Diniz was the one to do the kick off. Francisco Magalhães showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vânderson Diniz in the 51st minute of the match. A collision led to Welter Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Adalberto Montenegro hit a great ball. Valdir Madureira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Pedrinho Meira in the 59th minute. Welter Futebol Clube's Claudinei Matos got a good chance for a goal in the 75th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Claudinei Matos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pedrinho Meira succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-2 in the 78th playminute. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Luisão Sergipano sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luisão Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francisco Magalhães having to interfere. Although Saldanha had been in control for most of the match, Welter Futebol Clube still came away with the win.
