In the 17th minute of the match, Reinaldo Britto got a very nice opportunity to score, but Márcio Sarmento was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Bruninho Negri hit a great freekick 17 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rubens Dracena in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Márcio Sarmento saved Sport Clube Lasanha from getting behind. In the 25th minute, Frédson Branco ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Sindre Storhaug was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. In the 31st minute Frédson Branco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sindre Storhaug saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Sport Clube Lasanha's zone, Rubens Dracena stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Márcio Sarmento came out of the goal and Rubens Dracena tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sindre Storhaug took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mathias Siqueira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

After 54 minutes of play, Grêmio Charqueadas's Reinaldo Britto made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Márcio Sarmento was left in no man's land by his defense there! Faustão Souza charged in rather forcefully in the 61st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Faustão Souza the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Faustão Souza hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. After 65 minutes Grêmio Charqueadas's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Wilian Nogueira who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on Sport Clube Lasanha's corner Wilian Nogueira fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Sindre Storhaug quite easily take care of the ball. If Mathias Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Paiva during the 71st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 71st match minute, Grêmio Charqueadas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ulysses Paiva to maneuver through the defense. Rubens Dracena struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. When Bruninho Negri fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Clube Lasanha's protests and gave Bruninho Negri a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Sport Clube Lasanha's Bruninho Negri got a free kick in the 96th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sport Clube Lasanha players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Grêmio Charqueadas.
