TEXAS F.C.'s Betão Damião played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Tepedino in the 4th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Edmílson Tepedino managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gama's supporters rose to their feet, but Edmílson Tepedino was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Betão Damião breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 11 minutes into the match, TEXAS F.C.'s goalkeeper Betão Damião had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Willian Faria. In the 13th match minute, TEXAS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Willian Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Betão Damião having to interfere. In the 15th match minute, TEXAS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frank Albuquerque to maneuver through the defense. Betão Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Tepedino in the 17th minute of the match. Carlos Custódio kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. Gama's Edmílson Tepedino got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Betão Damião was out of position in the 42 minute of play, and Edmílson Tepedino capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edmílson Tepedino really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. Willian Faria could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 46th minute of the match, but Betão Damião made a huge save. Willian Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Betão Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

57 minutes into the game, Claudinho Lago was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gama's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave TEXAS F.C. the free kick. In the 58th minute, Geovanni de Barros sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Gama's Leopoldo Simões didn't even have to move. After 62 played minutes Gama got a freekick which was hit by Fiori Dias. If Willian Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edmílson Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Betão Damião tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Willian Faria in the 72nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão Damião prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Betão Damião made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Tepedino in the 79th minute of play. José Vítor do Nascimento took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Betão Damião. TEXAS F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Willian Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Gama booed when TEXAS F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 83 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dinei Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 86th match minute, TEXAS F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dinei Matos to maneuver through the defense. Gama's Willian Faria got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Betão Damião showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Tepedino in the 92nd minute of the match. If Willian Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 95th minute, Willian Faria ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Betão Damião was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-1. Gama's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
