Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Edmílson Tepedino started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Duarte Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Tepedino in the 4th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Fudilson's zone, Edmílson Tepedino stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Duarte Botelho came out of the goal and Edmílson Tepedino tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. S.C. Fudilson's Duarte Botelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edmílson Tepedino in the 13th minute of play. Germano Nóbrega sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, one of S.C. Fudilson:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for S.C. Fudilson. 24 minutes in the game, Willian Faria fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Duarte Botelho having to interfere. With a little luck, S.C. Fudilson's Duarte Botelho got control of the ball when Willian Faria tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alfredão Batista hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Edmílson Tepedino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Duarte Botelho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 38 played minutes S.C. Fudilson got a freekick which was hit by Clóvis Corrêa. Claudinho Lago was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 39th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Duarte Botelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edmílson Tepedino in the 45th minute of the match. A collision led to S.C. Fudilson getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Caetano Bastos hit a great ball. In the 47th match minute, S.C. Fudilson was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Clóvis Corrêa to maneuver through the defense. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Eusébio Queiroz stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Duarte Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edmílson Tepedino in the 55th minute of play. Edmílson Tepedino hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. When Edmílson Tepedino came up free with the goalie in the 60th minute, the Gama fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Edmílson Tepedino couldn't finish the play. Duarte Botelho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Willian Faria in the 70th minute of play. After a rather tough play, S.C. Fudilson's Clóvis Corrêa got a free kick in the 73rd minute. Claudinho Lago was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 74th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Willian Faria fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Duarte Botelho having to interfere. If Willian Faria had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Edmílson Tepedino in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Duarte Botelho prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Edmílson Tepedino recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 88th minute Edmílson Tepedino shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Duarte Botelho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Willian Faria struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Duarte Botelho didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gama. When Gama's Willian Faria in the 91st minute got a chance for a shot 91st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye S.C. Fudilson's goalie prevented a goal. With his leg Leopoldo Simões managed to avoid a goal in the 95thth minute, when S.C. Fudilson's Eusébio Queiroz fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Gama fully deserved thier win.
