Emanuel Damião kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Simão Pena in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Betão Vale prevented the ball from getting in the gole. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. 35 minutes into the match, Possante de Jacó's Simão Pena sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Betão Vale narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Augusto Carvalho in the 36th minute of play forced Mamonas Assassinas's goalkeeper Betão Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marcelo Berger charged in rather forcefully in the 37th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Zé Augusto Carvalho ran back to his position shaking his head. After some careless play in the Mamonas Assassinas defense, Zé Augusto Carvalho kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Betão Vale. The Mamonas Assassinas fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Betão Vale should have stopped the shot. Jorge Vasconcelos kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 77th minute, Simão Pena made a precise shot to the right of Betão Vale. Mamonas Assassinas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. 81 minutes into the match, Mamonas Assassinas's goalkeeper Betão Vale had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Zé Augusto Carvalho.
