Paulo José Cunha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from José Maia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, FC Show's Thiago Faria got a free kick in the 17th minute. Simão Pena's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Paulo José Cunha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. After 21 played minutes Nilmar Branco rounded Possante de Jacó's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 1-1. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Paulo José Cunha prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in FC Show's zone, Fabrício Hermes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo José Cunha came out of the goal and Fabrício Hermes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Possante de Jacó fans' excitement grew in the 39th match minute when Possante de Jacó's Simão Pena looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-3 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Adelino Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Paulo José Cunha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simão Pena was the one to do the kick off. Lucas Rezende made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nilmar Branco in the 57th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Zé Augusto Carvalho got free with Paulo José Cunha in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. FC Show's Paulo José Cunha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 66th minute of the match, managed to save FC Show from getting a goal against them. Diamantino Massa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Rezende having to interfere. The supporters of FC Show booed when Possante de Jacó was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Gaúcho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the final whistle sounded Possante de Jacó left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than FC Show.
