The audience thought a goal was coming when Sidnei Carneiro got free with Roberto Aparecido in the 23rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Renan Garcia hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. Roberto Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from João Paulo Camargo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sidnei Carneiro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that João Paulo Camargo couldn't finish the play. After 36 minutes, Luisão Varela mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jazz Esporte Clube and the Oaken Eleven players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Jazz Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 36 minutes play. Luisão Varela hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Jazz Esporte Clube defense, Osvaldo Figueiredo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Faustão Arósio. The Jazz Esporte Clube fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Faustão Arósio should have stopped the shot. Roberto Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidnei Carneiro in the 46th minute of the match. After 48 played minutes Oaken Eleven got a freekick which was hit by Vladimir Queirós. The Jazz Esporte Clube players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Oaken Eleven were winning 0-2.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Osvaldo Figueiredo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Faustão Arósio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Renan Garcia in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 53rd minute, Abelardo Terra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Oaken Eleven defense, João Paulo Camargo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Roberto Aparecido. The Oaken Eleven fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Roberto Aparecido should have stopped the shot. If Victor Antunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. In the 70th minute of the match Maurinho Paes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Faustão Arósio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Oaken Eleven's Roberto Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidnei Carneiro in the 73rd minute of play. Sidnei Carneiro scored 2-2 in the 78th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Roberto Aparecido, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Faustão Arósio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Renan Garcia's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. When Charles de Amaral fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Jazz Esporte Clube's protests and gave Charles de Amaral a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Jazz Esporte Clube getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Charles de Amaral hit a great ball. Victor Antuness short, quick shot in the 89thth minute got Faustão Arósio to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 92 minutes into the match, Oaken Eleven's goal looked a bit too open when Sidnei Carneiro came free, but Roberto Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Oaken Eleven's Osvaldo Figueiredo got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
