Dito Vergílio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cícero Pontes in the 14th minute of the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Adelino Almeida who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Florianopolis Fc's Wanderson Sarmento was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The Tricolor dos Pampas FC fans' excitement grew in the 15th match minute when Tricolor dos Pampas FC's Adelino Almeida looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Cícero Pontes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Dito Vergílio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Cícero Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Horácio Aguiar could shoot a difficult shot in the 29th minute, which Dito Vergílio however easily saved by the left post. Adelino Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wanderson Sarmento having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Horácio Aguiar got free with Dito Vergílio in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 47th match minute, Florianopolis Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Murilo de Souza to maneuver through the defense. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Cícero Pontes made the kick off in the second half. Ronaldo Fantini hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. After 57 played minutes Lauro Castro scored with a long sweeping shot just to the left of Wanderson Sarmento who was too lazy, 1-2. In the 59th match minute, Tricolor dos Pampas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tomás Madureira to maneuver through the defense. 61 minutes into the match, Tricolor dos Pampas FC's Jacinto Trancoso sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Wanderson Sarmento narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 64 minutes into the match, Tricolor dos Pampas FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cícero Pontes came free, but Dito Vergílio reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Wanderson Sarmento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jacinto Trancoso struck a weak shot in the 73rd minute. Wanderson Sarmento didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Tricolor dos Pampas FC. Florianopolis Fc's Wanderson Sarmento proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to save Florianopolis Fc from getting a goal against them. Dito Vergílio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cícero Pontes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dito Vergílio stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cícero Pontes's shot from short distance in the 82nd minute. After recieving a nice pass, Florianopolis Fc's Nildo Sampaio tried to score from far away in the 84th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When Horácio Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 87th minute, the Florianopolis Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Aguiar couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd match minute, Florianopolis Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Luís Secco to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Florianopolis Fc's zone, Adelino Almeida stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Wanderson Sarmento came out of the goal and Adelino Almeida tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
