Wanderson Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emerson do Valle, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. 14 minutes into the game, Cícero Pontes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Horácio Aguiar in the 35th minute of play forced Mamonas Assassinas's goalkeeper Betão Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cícero Pontes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Florianopolis Fc's Nildo Sampaio got a free kick in the 59th minute. 60 minutes into the match, Mamonas Assassinas's Luís Fabiano Bueno broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Betão Vale. When Horácio Aguiar came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the Florianopolis Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Horácio Aguiar couldn't finish the play. Betão Vale made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Valério Toledo sent off a good shot on target. 0-5 became the score in the 96th minute when Horácio Aguiar elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar.
