Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Thiago Valle kicked off to start the match. Enio Toledo didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jacinto Massa went, in the 3rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. Enio Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Enio Toledo came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by São Paulo FC's Durval Andrade. But to his dismay, Durval Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Durval Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Egídio Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Enio Toledo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Cristian Castro stood somewhat misplaced when Thiago Valle came free in front of goal and shot 1-2 to the left of him in the 27 minute. Zé Paulo Tróia hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 34th minute, Durval Andrade got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37thth minute of the game Egídio Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ivape's Enio Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Durval Andrade to strike the kick off in the second half. After 54 played minutes Ivape got a freekick which was hit by Enéas Nascimento. Ciro Couto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 54th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. São Paulo FC's Cristian Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Délio Tasso in the 59th minute of play. If Egídio Neto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 62nd minute Durval Andrade shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Enio Toledo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Severino Mattos took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 64th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Enio Toledo. Ivape's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. São Paulo FC's Cristian Castro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Thiago Valle in the 67th minute of play. After some careless play in the São Paulo FC defense, Thiago Valle kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cristian Castro. The São Paulo FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cristian Castro should have stopped the shot. Enio Toledo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Andrade, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rony Donato hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. In the 86th minute, Ciro Couto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ivape's Enio Toledo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Ivape from getting a goal against them. 97 minutes into the game, Egídio Neto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-3. Enio Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. São Paulo FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
