Parana Clube's Paulo Aparecido played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Elias Soeiro in the 64th minute of play. João Francisco Mazza's late challenge caught a Maciel FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 96th match minute, Maciel FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Agnaldo Seco to maneuver through the defense. When the referee ended the match the Maciel FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
