Spectators: 7262 (Terracing: 5448, Seating: 1670, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Benjamim Moura got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th minute, one of Acude SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Acude SC. In the 8th minute there was a penalty for Parana Clube. Nilson Mota stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Chicão Diniz. 0-1. Benjamim Mouras short, quick shot in the 14thth minute got Paulo Aparecido to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of Acude SC booed when Parana Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Diguinho Aguiar didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Benjamim Moura got free with Paulo Aparecido in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Armandinho Maciel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. When Acude SC's Thomás Guimarães in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. If Benjamim Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Celso Arantes in the 47th minute of play forced Acude SC's goalkeeper Chicão Diniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Paulo Aparecido made an important save on a dangerous shot by Benjamim Moura in the 48th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Olavo Maranhense to make the kick off. Chicão Diniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Olavo Maranhense, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Benjamim Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thomás Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Aparecido having to interfere. Virgílio Favoretto kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. Luciano de Azevedo hit a great freekick 69 minutes into the match. Chicão Diniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Olavo Maranhense in the 70th minute of play. Thomás Guimarães fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Aparecido having to interfere. After 74 minutes, Oscar Fonseca mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parana Clube and the Acude SC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Acude SC booed when Parana Clube was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oscar Fonseca didn't get a good kick on the ball. Paulo Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Thomás Guimarães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Olavo Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Juarês Furtado fell near the penalty area in the 80th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Acude SC's protests and gave Juarês Furtado a yellow card for diving instead. After 80 played minutes Acude SC got a freekick which was hit by Juarês Furtado. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Olavo Maranhense managed to get in a good position for a shot. Parana Clube's supporters rose to their feet, but Olavo Maranhense was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chicão Diniz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 91 minutes into the match, Parana Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Benjamim Moura came free, but Paulo Aparecido reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, Benjamim Moura had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Paulo Aparecido. Parana Clube's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Benjamim Moura was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-1. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Acude SC players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
