Ismael Loureiro came out of the goal and Felippe Freire tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Batateira's Elói Pena got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ismael Loureiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Elói Pena's shot from short distance in the 11th minute. 16 minutes into the game, Marequeta SC's Cafu Abreu nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Pedro Luiz Leme made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. 20 minutes into the match, Marequeta SC's goalkeeper Ismael Loureiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Felippe Freire. In the 21st minute, Elói Pena reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Ismael Loureiro. The goal made the score 1-2. Elói Pena recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 27th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ismael Loureiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Felippe Freire in the 29th minute. Cafu Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cafu Abreu in the 35th minute of play forced Batateira's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Leme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Cafu Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

An unexpectedly hard shot by Elói Pena in the 53rd minute of play forced Marequeta SC's goalkeeper Ismael Loureiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 56th play minute Cafu Abreu came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Pedro Luiz Leme. 1-3. In the 61st minute Marquinhos Monteiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Pedro Luiz Leme saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Batateira's João Pedro Cruz got a free kick in the 63rd minute. If Cafu Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. Cafu Abreu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedro Luiz Leme having to interfere. An unexpected shot in the 78th minute by Cafu Abreu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Cafu Abreu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Batateira's Pedro Luiz Leme played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Marquinhos Monteiro in the 93rd minute of play. 96 minutes into the match, Batateira's goalkeeper Pedro Luiz Leme had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cafu Abreu. When the match was over Marequeta SC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Batateira throughout the match.
