When Querida's Sidney Zanette in the 11th minute got a chance for a shot 11th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Santana FC's goalie prevented a goal. Querida's Sidney Zanette got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Santana FC's Luiz Eduardo Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sidney Zanette in the 18th minute of play. Vitório Mendes took the ball and in the 21 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Luisão Paiva. Luisão Paiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. With his leg Luiz Eduardo Leão managed to avoid a goal in the 30thth minute, when Querida's Sidney Zanette fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 32 minutes into the match Sidney Zanette climbed in front of goal and pressed up 2-1 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Luiz Eduardo Leão. Luiz Eduardo Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sidney Zanette's shot from short distance in the 36th minute. Sidney Zanette fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luiz Eduardo Leão having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Sidney Zanette's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Luiz Eduardo Leão was relentless in the 43rd minute of the game. Sidney Zanette sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.
