Ferroviário RO's Zé Paraibano played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Guerra in the 30th minute of play. If Gil Favoretto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Narciso Schmidt in the 37th minute of play forced S.C. Eagles Fire's goalkeeper Paulo Dantas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilmar Sampaio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Paraibano having to interfere. Zé Paraibano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Guerra in the 43rd minute of play. Zé Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The referee showed Sandrinho Negri the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Paulo Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gil Favoretto went, in the 81st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. Zé Paraibano took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jorge Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 95th minute Gilmar Sampaio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zé Paraibano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the match, Ferroviário RO's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Guerra came free, but Zé Paraibano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The S.C. Eagles Fire supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Ferroviário RO's performance. The match ended with a win for Ferroviário RO.
