The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Álvaro Prestes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The referee ignored Santana FC's protests and gave Fernandão de Carvalho a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santana FC getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Luiz Eduardo Leão didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nankatsu. Nilmar Custódio might have been able to make a better finish in the 97th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Luiz Eduardo Leão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Nilmar Custódio ran back to his position shaking his head. Nankatsu's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
