Clóvis Barral started the match with the kick off. After 12 played minutes Santana FC got a freekick which was hit by Fernandão de Carvalho. If Vitório Mendes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vitório Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 22nd minute, Santana FC's Clóvis Barral ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Paulo Dantas. Paulo Dantas yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vitório Mendes got free with Paulo Dantas in the 26th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 26th minute, Manfredo Cosme hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Christian Dantas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 31st minute, Clóvis Barral got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santana FC's Luiz Eduardo Leão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gilmar Sampaio in the 35th minute of play. In the 39th of the match, Clóvis Barral tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but Paulo Dantas got in the way and made a wonderful save. Vitório Mendes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Paulo Dantas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gilmar Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Luiz Eduardo Leão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gilmar Sampaio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jorge Guerra to strike the kick off in the second half. Paulo Dantas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Clóvis Barral went, in the 54th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Clóvis Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santana FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clóvis Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Paulo Dantas breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Clóvis Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Paulo Dantas having to interfere. Paulo Dantas came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Santana FC's Clóvis Barral. But to his dismay, Clóvis Barral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Vitório Mendes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 74 played minutes S.C. Eagles Fire got a freekick which was hit by Manfredo Cosme. Gilmar Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 79th minute of the match, but Luiz Eduardo Leão made a huge save. After a defensive mix-up in S.C. Eagles Fire's zone, Vitório Mendes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Paulo Dantas came out of the goal and Vitório Mendes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The crowd rose to their feet as S.C. Eagles Fire's Gilmar Sampaio slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Luiz Eduardo Leão. That made the score 3-1 after 83 minutes of play. In the 86th match minute, Santana FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fernandão de Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind S.C. Eagles Fire's goalkeeper Paulo Dantas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Luiz Eduardo Leão made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Gilmar Sampaio sent off a good shot on target. Santana FC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
