In the 30th minute Clemente Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Raimundo da Mata saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ediberto Sanches in the 31st minute of play forced Manchester United's goalkeeper Raimundo da Mata to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernani Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 33rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ernani Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Parati booed when Manchester United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 34 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernani Barbosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Parati's Clemente Castro in the 38th minute got a chance for a shot 38th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Manchester United's goalie prevented a goal. With a little luck, Parati's Eduardo Prestes got control of the ball when Baltazar Bertassi tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Juan Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 45 minutes into the match, Parati's goalkeeper Eduardo Prestes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Baltazar Bertassi. Manchester United's Raimundo da Mata played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Clemente Castro in the 59th minute of play. 60 minutes into the match, Manchester United's goalkeeper Raimundo da Mata had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ediberto Sanches. Eduardo Prestes came out of the goal in the 72nd minute to try and stop a shot by Manchester United's Ernani Barbosa. But to his dismay, Ernani Barbosa quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Baltazar Bertassi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 78th minute. Eduardo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Parati's Iuri Coutinho got his second yellow card of the match in the 84th minute. The referee ordered Iuri Coutinho off the ground. Juan Mesquita received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Eduardo Prestes came out of the goal and Baltazar Bertassi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Manchester United's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
