Arnaldo Gerber received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Frank Soeiro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Arnaldo Gerber took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Frank Soeiro to make any attempt to save it. 18 minutes into the match, EuHeSo's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Roberto Braga came free, but Frank Soeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basílio Novaes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Valdo Vargas in the 19th minute of the match. Rômulo Sá recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Frank Soeiro made a fantastic save in the 22nd minute, when Pedrão Sabóia sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Valdo Vargas in the 24th minute of play forced INF. FC's goalkeeper Basílio Novaes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. INF. FC's Basílio Novaes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rômulo Sá in the 25th minute of play. After 25 minutes, Arnaldo Gerber mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INF. FC and the EuHeSo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Basílio Novaes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rômulo Sá, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Basílio Novaes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Pedro Rezende went, in the 30th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Basílio Novaes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Valdo Vargas's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. The supporters of EuHeSo booed when INF. FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 37 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elder Guerra didn't get a good kick on the ball. Frank Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Elder Guerra in the 42nd minute of the match. When Rômulo Sá came up free with the goalie in the 46th minute, the EuHeSo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo Sá couldn't finish the play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 54 minutes of play INF. FC's Arnaldo Gerber was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 57 minutes into the match, Cristiano Sergipano dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Basílio Novaes, 1-3. After 59 minutes, Elder Guerra mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INF. FC and the EuHeSo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 60th minute, Elder Guerra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Soeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pedrão Sabóia, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. FC's Pedrão Sabóia got a free kick in the 68th minute. Rômulo Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the INF. FC defense, Valdo Vargas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Basílio Novaes. The INF. FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Basílio Novaes should have stopped the shot. Basílio Novaes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rômulo Sá in the 79th minute of play. Rômulo Sá sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of INF. FC booed when EuHeSo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ruy Toledo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 88 minutes, William Viana mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the INF. FC and the EuHeSo players grew even worse after the yellow card. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. EuHeSo walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
