Pedrão Sabóia might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Gilmar Cosme. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Pedrão Sabóia ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elder Guerra in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gilmar Cosme prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Paulo Renato Lago during the 26th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 28 minutes into the game, Arnaldo Gerber cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Gilmar Cosme was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Basílio Novaes made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Edgard Figueiredo sent off a good shot on target. Basílio Novaes stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Edgard Figueiredo's shot from short distance in the 33rd minute. In the 33rd match minute, INF. FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Zé Roberto Braga to maneuver through the defense. 37 minutes into the match, Sartubin's goal looked a bit too open when Pedrão Sabóia came free, but Gilmar Cosme reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Pedrão Sabóia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gilmar Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedrão Sabóia in the 47th minute of the match.

Gilmar Cosme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Elder Guerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Pedrão Sabóia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Gilmar Cosme tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Elder Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Elder Guerra managed to get in a good position for a shot. INF. FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Elder Guerra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gilmar Cosme breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Pedrão Sabóias short, quick shot in the 60thth minute got Gilmar Cosme to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Elder Guerra struck a weak shot in the 61st minute. Gilmar Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for INF. FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elder Guerra in the 64th minute of play forced Sartubin's goalkeeper Gilmar Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Edgard Figueiredo came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the Sartubin fans jumped to their feet.
