Eduardo Prestes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edgard Figueiredo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Eduardo Prestes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gonçalo Sampaio, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. If Erasmo Loyola had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. André Luís Nogueira kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. When Serginho Luz fell near the penalty area in the 44th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sartubin's protests and gave Serginho Luz a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Sartubin getting a freekick after 44 minutes play. Serginho Luz hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Clemente Castro in the 46th minute of play forced Sartubin's goalkeeper Gilmar Cosme to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erasmo Loyola sent away a hard shot on goal in the 48th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

In the 53rd minute, Sartubin's Gonçalo Sampaio ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Eduardo Prestes. Eduardo Prestes yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-1. Erasmo Loyola struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Gilmar Cosme didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Parati. Gilberto Cavalcante's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eduardo Prestes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Iuri Coutinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Eduardo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Edgard Figueiredo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgard Figueiredo took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eduardo Prestes. Eduardo Prestes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. When Parati's Erasmo Loyola in the 80th minute got a chance for a shot 80th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Sartubin's goalie prevented a goal. Gilmar Cosme showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Erasmo Loyola in the 82nd minute of the match. In the 90th minute, Erasmo Loyola left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Parati fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Parati's Erasmo Loyola got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
