Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Edvaldo Paraíba took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 2nd match minute, Acurui was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Luiz Castro to maneuver through the defense. After some careless play in the EuHeSo defense, Edvaldo Paraíba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Soeiro. The EuHeSo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Soeiro should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, EuHeSo's Ruy Toledo got a free kick in the 9th minute. After some careless play in the EuHeSo defense, Edvaldo Paraíba kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Frank Soeiro. The EuHeSo fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Frank Soeiro should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as EuHeSo's Valdo Vargas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Tibúrcio de Sena. That made the score 1-2 after 17 minutes of play. EuHeSo's Frank Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sílvio Luiz Castro in the 22nd minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rômulo Sá got free with Tibúrcio de Sena in the 24th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. EuHeSo's Frank Soeiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Edvaldo Paraíba in the 26th minute of play. From close distance Valdo Vargas pressed in the 2-2 goal high up into nets stiches in the right cross 31 minutes into the game. Frank Soeiro stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sílvio Luiz Netto's shot from short distance in the 35th minute. In the 37th minute Sílvio Luiz Castro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rômulo Sá in the 43rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tibúrcio de Sena, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rômulo Sá got free with Tibúrcio de Sena in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Acurui's Tibúrcio de Sena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by João Pedro Rezende in the 46th minute of play. A collision led to EuHeSo getting a freekick after 46 minutes play. Denílson Fernandez hit a great ball. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 2-2 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rômulo Sá to make the kick off. 2-3 became the score in the 51st minute when Sílvio Luiz Netto elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Rômulo Sá came up free with the goalie in the 57th minute, the EuHeSo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rômulo Sá couldn't finish the play. Rodriguinho Vander received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Tibúrcio de Sena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Frank Soeiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edvaldo Paraíba, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. Alberto de Andrade was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 69 minutes into the match. After 68 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for EuHeSo! In the 77th minute Edvaldo Paraíba shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Frank Soeiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 78th minute, Acurui's Sílvio Luiz Netto ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Frank Soeiro. Frank Soeiro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-5. In the 82nd minute, Wanderson Zilles hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Frank Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Barral in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th minute, Sílvio Luiz Castro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Acurui fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-6. The audience was convinced that Edvaldo Paraíba's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Frank Soeiro was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. Tibúrcio de Sena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonsinho Almeida in the 91st minute of play. Rodriguinho Vander fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tibúrcio de Sena having to interfere. The Acurui supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Acurui would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
