In the 17th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vespacity FC's goalkeeper Wilson Prado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 18 minutes into the match, EuHeSo's goalkeeper Frank Soeiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dorival Alcântara. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rômulo Sá in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Wilson Prado prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 24 minutes into the match, Vespacity FC's goal looked a bit too open when Rômulo Sá came free, but Wilson Prado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vespacity FC's Wilson Prado played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Valdo Vargas in the 30th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 32 minutes, Frank Soeiro successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Wilson Prado showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodriguinho Vander, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. Frank Soeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sílvio Galvão in the 35th minute of play. If Carlos Lago had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Rômulo Sá fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Wilson Prado having to interfere. If Rodriguinho Vander had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rômulo Sá in the 44th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilson Prado saved Vespacity FC from getting behind. 47 minutes into the match, Rômulo Sá notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Vespacity FC's Wilson Prado. Wilson Prado was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sidney Nascimento to make the kick off. The supporters of Vespacity FC booed when EuHeSo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Valdo Vargas didn't get a good kick on the ball. EuHeSo's Rômulo Sá got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dorival Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 56th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dorival Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of EuHeSo booed when Vespacity FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dorival Alcântara didn't get a good kick on the ball. 57 minutes into the game, Sidney Nascimento was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Vespacity FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EuHeSo the free kick. A collision led to Vespacity FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Sidney Nascimento hit a great ball. The supporters of EuHeSo booed when Vespacity FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wilson Prado made an important save on a dangerous shot by Rodriguinho Vander in the 61st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rodriguinho Vander in the 67th minute of play forced Vespacity FC's goalkeeper Wilson Prado to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Rodriguinho Vander came up free with the goalie in the 90th minute, the EuHeSo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rodriguinho Vander couldn't finish the play. Frank Soeiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dorival Alcântara in the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the game, Rômulo Sá recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Wilson Prado. Rômulo Sá showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-5. When the match was over EuHeSo could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Vespacity FC throughout the match.
