After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Clemente Castro made the kick off in the second half. Claudinho Gaúcho received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Eduardo Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Parati's Erasmo Loyola nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Olavo Trevisan made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edvaldo Antunes during the 73rd minute. After 82 played minutes Parati got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Coutinho. In the 85th minute of the match Moral JFC got a corner. Parati's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Álvaro Paraense ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Moral JFC's Álvaro Paraense to fire away a dangerous shot which Eduardo Prestes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
