Osvaldo Amaral's late challenge caught a Xandy FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Osvaldo Amaral helped the player get up and apologised. In the 7th minute, Osvaldo Amaral hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Josué Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Pedrinho Garcia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Pedrinho Garcia was a little too slow when Josué Oliveira got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 22nd minute. The score was now 1-0. Dráuzio de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Reinaldo Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Josué Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Garcia having to interfere. If Sílvio Travassos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Josué Oliveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Pedrinho Garcia having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Claudinei de Alcântara in the 44th minute of play forced Xandy FC's goalkeeper Reinaldo Furlan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xandy FC's Reinaldo Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dráuzio de Almeida in the 47th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Claudinei de Alcântara made a kick off. Pedrinho Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Josué Oliveira in the 57th minute of the match. Josué Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Josué Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Reinaldo Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Dráuzio de Almeida went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 2-2 was the resulting score. If Josué Oliveira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Josué Oliveira ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Pedrinho Garcia was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-2. When the match clock showed 86 minutes, the score became 4-2 when Josué Oliveira sped through Zezito's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Pedrinho Garcia. 89 minutes into the game, Gildo Cardozo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Zezito's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Xandy FC the free kick. Gildo Cardozo hit a great freekick 89 minutes into the match. After a defensive mix-up in Zezito's zone, Josué Oliveira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedrinho Garcia came out of the goal and Josué Oliveira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Xandy FC had played much better football throughout.
