Sidney Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Prestes having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Edvaldo Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. César Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. In the 30th minute, Jânio de Lara sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Vespacity FC's Wilson Prado didn't even have to move. After 36 minutes, Iuri Coutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Parati and the Vespacity FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Iuri Coutinho hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. Eduardo Prestes made an important save on a dangerous shot by Carlos Lago in the 38th minute. Sidney Nascimento received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. After a defensive mix-up in Parati's zone, Sidney Nascimento stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eduardo Prestes came out of the goal and Sidney Nascimento tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sidney Nascimento fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eduardo Prestes having to interfere. 64 minutes into the match, Vespacity FC's goalkeeper Wilson Prado had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Erasmo Loyola. 65 minutes into the match, Parati's goal looked a bit too open when Sidney Nascimento came free, but Eduardo Prestes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Parati defense, Carlos Lago kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Eduardo Prestes. The Parati fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Eduardo Prestes should have stopped the shot. If Sidney Nascimento had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Clemente Castro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Wilson Prado made a huge save. Sílvio Galvão charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sílvio Galvão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Vespacity FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Sílvio Galvão hit a great ball. When Edvaldo Antunes fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Parati's protests and gave Edvaldo Antunes a yellow card for diving instead. Edvaldo Antunes hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. César Medeiros was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 94th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Iuri Coutinho was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 95 minutes had been played. After 96 played minutes Parati got a freekick which was hit by Iuri Coutinho. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
