The supporters of Macacas SC booed when Baroneza was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luciano Valladares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waldemar Toledo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Lago having to interfere. Baroneza's Waldemar Toledo got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Baroneza's zone, Jarbas Ribeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ronaldo Vergílio came out of the goal and Jarbas Ribeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Silvério Silveira in the 30th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruno Lago saved Macacas SC from getting behind. After having played for 31 minutes, Waldemar Toledo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Baroneza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Waldemar Toledo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Aloísio Pinho during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Waldemar Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Bruno Lago tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Silvério Silveira sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Silvério Silveira received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Waldemar Toledo to make the kick off. Bruno Lago showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Silvério Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Luciano Valladares managed to get in a good position for a shot. Baroneza's supporters rose to their feet, but Luciano Valladares was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Lago breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 62 minutes, Valdo Sá mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Macacas SC and the Baroneza players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Macacas SC getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Valdo Sá hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Silvério Silveira in the 65th minute of play forced Macacas SC's goalkeeper Bruno Lago to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute Frank Hermes suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. Andrézinho Cearense charged in rather forcefully in the 67th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andrézinho Cearense the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 67th minute, Andrézinho Cearense hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Silvério Silveira struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bruno Lago didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Baroneza. Baroneza's Silvério Silveira got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 85 minutes, Silvério Silveira made it 6-0 with a short kick to the right side. Macacas SC's Bruno Lago tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Bruno Lago made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Waldemar Toledo in the 89th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Macacas SC's zone, Waldemar Toledo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bruno Lago came out of the goal and Waldemar Toledo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Baroneza's Luciano Valladares got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baroneza's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
