In the 9th match minute, Atlético Alagoano was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo José Perez to maneuver through the defense. 13 minutes into the match, Marvolo F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Hélio Silveira came free, but Fernandinho Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rômulo Velloso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Geovânio Ortiz having to make a save. If Rômulo Velloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Marvolo F.C. players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
