Spectators: 7140 (Terracing: 5356, Seating: 1642, VIP seats: 142) Castelhano's Rubinho Mesquita started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Paulo Trevisan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pedro Paulo Trevisan in the 6th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Murilo Nogueira saved Castelhano from getting behind. Pedro Paulo Trevisan sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murilo Nogueira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Trevisan in the 17th minute of play. 25 minutes into the game, Flavinho Veloso was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Castelhano's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Saldanha FC the free kick. Dainius Damušis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Murilo Nogueira having to interfere. In the 35th minute, Pedro Paulo Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 37th minute, Dainius Damušis made a precise shot to the right of Murilo Nogueira. Castelhano's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Murilo Nogueira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dainius Damušis, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Dainius Damušis in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Murilo Nogueira prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After the first half Saldanha FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Dainius Damušis to strike the kick off in the second half. If Rubinho Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Dainius Damušis came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Saldanha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dainius Damušis couldn't finish the play. If Pedro Paulo Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dainius Damušis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Murilo Nogueira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pedro Paulo Trevisan, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. Dainius Damušis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 71st minute, Dainius Damušis fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Cléberson Alagoano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Murilo Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castelhano's Murilo Nogueira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 78th minute of the match, managed to save Castelhano from getting a goal against them. If Dainius Damušis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 81st minute, Pedro Paulo Trevisan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Dainius Damušis came up free with the goalie in the 84th minute, the Saldanha FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dainius Damušis couldn't finish the play. 88 minutes into the match, Rubinho Mesquita had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmundo Rosa. Saldanha FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rubinho Mesquita was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3.
