Ismael de Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Edmundo Saraiva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 15th minute of the match, Didi Queiroz got a very nice opportunity to score, but Dário Linhares was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Flavinho Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Uberaba FC's Gil Cordeiro got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Edmundo Saraiva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lauro Guimarães, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Edmundo Saraiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gil Cordeiro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Evaristo Leão's late challenge caught a Uberaba FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Evaristo Leão helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Uberaba FC booed when Remansu FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Evaristo Leão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Lauro Guimarães kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. Didi Queiroz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Dário Linhares when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Remansu FC's Edmundo Saraiva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ismael de Queirós in the 36th minute of play. Ismael de Queirós took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmundo Saraiva. Edmundo Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After 43 played minutes Remansu FC got a freekick which was hit by Laerte Cordeiro. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Laerte Cordeiro was the one to do the kick off. Dário Linhares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Didi Queiroz in the 53rd minute of play. In the 55th minute, Gil Cordeiro made a precise shot to the right of Edmundo Saraiva. Remansu FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Dário Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Didi Queiroz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gil Cordeiro came free with the goalkeeper in the 61st minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Edmundo Saraiva could save by the left post. In the 62nd minute, Uberaba FC's Serginho Meirelles dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. When Gil Cordeiro came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Uberaba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gil Cordeiro couldn't finish the play. Flavinho Carneiro struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Edmundo Saraiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uberaba FC. When Zé Carlos de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Uberaba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zé Carlos de Sousa couldn't finish the play. Flavinho Carneiro received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Edmundo Saraiva came out and tried to block the shot, but Flavinho Carneiro slotted it home off the left post making it 0-4 in the 80th minute. Edmundo Saraiva was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Flavinho Carneiro showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-5 in the 84 minute of play. Remansu FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Flavinho Carneiro scored to the left of an out of position Edmundo Saraiva, making the score, 0-6. Uberaba FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
