Spectators: 7197 (Terracing: 5399, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Tigre FC's Erivaldo Gaúcho started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 4th match minute, Galicia EC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aílton Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Erivaldo Gaúcho managed to get in a good position for a shot. Tigre FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Erivaldo Gaúcho was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Gencho Karaganev breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Galicia EC's Gencho Karaganev played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kaká Cavalcante in the 6th minute of play. In the 7th minute Erivaldo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencho Karaganev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 10 minutes of play, Tigre FC's Erivaldo Gaúcho made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Gencho Karaganev was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 17th minute Erivaldo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencho Karaganev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 19th minute, Kaká Cavalcante made a precise shot to the right of Gencho Karaganev. Galicia EC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. Erik Vaz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcel Trigo having to interfere. Erivaldo Gaúcho took the ball and in the 26 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Gencho Karaganev. Gencho Karaganev dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. After 31 played minutes Tigre FC got a freekick which was hit by Vinícius Rocha. Marcel Trigo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Vaz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaká Cavalcante in the 35th minute of play forced Galicia EC's goalkeeper Gencho Karaganev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Erik Vaz might have been able to make a better finish in the 37th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Marcel Trigo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Erik Vaz ran back to his position shaking his head. Gencho Karaganev made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Juninho Neiva in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Erivaldo Gaúcho ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Gencho Karaganev was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. After having played for 48 minutes, Kaká Cavalcante managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tigre FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kaká Cavalcante was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Erik Vaz made a kick off. After 54 minutes, Evaristo Netto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Galicia EC and the Tigre FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 56 minutes into the match, Galicia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Gaúcho came free, but Gencho Karaganev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gencho Karaganev came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Tigre FC's Geovani Jacinto. But to his dismay, Geovani Jacinto quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. If Erivaldo Gaúcho had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ronaldão Sousa kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Erivaldo Gaúcho succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-7. In the 71st minute Erivaldo Gaúcho shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gencho Karaganev saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Evaristo Netto kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, Galicia EC's goal looked a bit too open when Erivaldo Gaúcho came free, but Gencho Karaganev reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Galicia EC's goalkeeper Gencho Karaganev had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kaká Cavalcante. Gencho Karaganev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Erivaldo Gaúcho, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erivaldo Gaúcho in the 81st minute of play forced Galicia EC's goalkeeper Gencho Karaganev to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Kaká Cavalcante got free with Gencho Karaganev in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gencho Karaganev showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Jacinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rui Trigo during the 88th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rui Trigo hit a great freekick 88 minutes into the match. Erik Vaz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 97th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Tigre FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
