Spectators: 7194 (Terracing: 5397, Seating: 1654, VIP seats: 143) Remansu FC's Laerte Cordeiro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Edmundo Saraiva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luís Eduardo Leme in the 4th minute of the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mathias Luz in the 5th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edmundo Saraiva prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mathias Luz took the ball and in the 8 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edmundo Saraiva. Edmundo Saraiva dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Atletico G. A.'s Pedro Luís Dracena got a free kick in the 11th minute. Luís Eduardo Leme scored 0-2 in the 26th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmundo Saraiva, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Atletico G. A.'s goalkeeper couldn't reach when Laerte Cordeiro 29 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-2. 43 minutes into the match, Mathias Luz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edmundo Saraiva. Remansu FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Mathias Luz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. Vinícius Martins came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Remansu FC's Juarês Andrade. But to his dismay, Juarês Andrade quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mathias Luz to make the kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Laerte Cordeiro in the 57th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 59 minutes into the match, Remansu FC's goalkeeper Edmundo Saraiva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Eduardo Leme. Mathias Luz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 61st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Mathias Luz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Edmundo Saraiva having to make a save. After a rather tough play, Atletico G. A.'s Mathias Luz got a free kick in the 65th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Didi Queiroz in the 68th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vinícius Martins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Atletico G. A.'s zone, Laerte Cordeiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vinícius Martins came out of the goal and Laerte Cordeiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Atletico G. A.'s Mathias Luz got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vitório Sá kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. 79 minutes into the match, Atletico G. A.'s Geovani Rosado broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Didi Queiroz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Vinícius Martins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mathias Luz was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. In the 86th play minute Luís Eduardo Leme came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Edmundo Saraiva. 2-5. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Mathias Luz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Atletico G. A.'s supporters rose to their feet, but Mathias Luz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Edmundo Saraiva breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Mathias Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmundo Saraiva having to interfere. The Atletico G. A. supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atletico G. A. would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
