Spectators: 7250 (Terracing: 5439, Seating: 1667, VIP seats: 144) With an all-out effort, Grêmio Ventura's Dário Linhares threw himself towards the right post 3 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Vinícius Fernandez, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In the 9th minute, João Augusto Guimarães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Flavinho Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Uberaba FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Flavinho Carneiro couldn't finish the play. Gil Cordeiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 23 minutes into the match, Uberaba FC's goalkeeper Dário Linhares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Augusto Guimarães. Toninho Koehler came out of the goal in the 24th minute to try and stop a shot by Uberaba FC's Gil Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Gil Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. When Flavinho Carneiro came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Uberaba FC fans jumped to their feet. If Gil Cordeiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Dário Linhares made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when João Augusto Guimarães sent off a good shot on target. Toninho Koehler came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Uberaba FC's Gil Cordeiro. But to his dismay, Gil Cordeiro quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. João Augusto Guimarães's shot straight on target was not completely harmless. The ball had pretty good speed, but Dário Linhares firmly grabbed it by the left post. Toninho Koehler stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ismael de Queirós's shot from short distance in the 47th minute.

Ismael de Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 58 minutes into the match, Grêmio Ventura's goalkeeper Toninho Koehler had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gil Cordeiro. In the 61st minute, Gil Cordeiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Flavinho Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Gil Cordeiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 67th minute of the match, but Toninho Koehler made a huge save. Geovanni Alcântara charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Geovanni Alcântara the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 68th minute, one of Grêmio Ventura:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Grêmio Ventura. Toninho Koehler had in the 71stth minute some difficulties stopping Gil Cordeiro's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. After a beautiful solo achivement in the 71st minute, Gil Cordeiro easily set the score to 0-4 through a well directed shot that entered the goal by the right post. After some careless play in the Grêmio Ventura defense, Gil Cordeiro kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Toninho Koehler. The Grêmio Ventura fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Toninho Koehler should have stopped the shot. Flavinho Carneiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Toninho Koehler made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gil Cordeiro in the 79th minute. Gil Cordeiro was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 82nd minute. Uberaba FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. 84 minutes into the match, Uberaba FC's goal looked a bit too open when Vinícius Fernandez came free, but Dário Linhares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Gil Cordeiro might have been able to make a better finish in the 85th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Toninho Koehler. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Gil Cordeiro ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Grêmio Ventura's Toninho Koehler got control of the ball when Gil Cordeiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. Flavinho Carneiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Toninho Koehler having to interfere. In the 91st minute the ball was on its way in behind Grêmio Ventura's goalkeeper Toninho Koehler, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ismael de Queirós struck a weak shot in the 92nd minute. Toninho Koehler didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uberaba FC. 96 minutes into the match, Grêmio Ventura's goal looked a bit too open when Flavinho Carneiro came free, but Toninho Koehler reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Uberaba FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
