The supporters of Tesoura booed when Castelhano was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michel Fernandez didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Castelhano's Silvinho Dionísio got a free kick in the 17th minute. Tesoura's Carlos Alberto de Medeiros couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 18th minute. The Tesoura fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Sandro de Lara scored 0-2 in the 32nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Murilo Nogueira, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rubinho Mesquita stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Sandro de Laras short, quick shot in the 52ndth minute got Murilo Nogueira to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Tomé Schmidt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andrézinho da Silveira in the 53rd minute of play. Andrézinho da Silveira took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tomé Schmidt. Tomé Schmidt dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Sandro de Lara who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 58thth minute tested the skills of Murilo Nogueira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Cléberson Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Murilo Nogueira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cléberson Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. Rubinho Mesquita got his second yellow card in the match during the 65th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Sandro de Lara received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Murilo Nogueira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Castelhano getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Flavinho Veloso hit a great ball. Murilo Nogueira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Murilo Nogueira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Sandro de Lara went, in the 89th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 93rd minute of the game. One of Castelhano:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Tesoura:s goal. Tesoura's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
