Spectators: 7231 (Terracing: 5425, Seating: 1663, VIP seats: 143) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Patrick Catarinense made the kick off which started today's match. 5 minutes into the match, Renan Marques notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of Calango Virgulino's Ademar Galvão. Ademar Galvão was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Ademar Galvão made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Renan Marques sent off a good shot on target. Patrick Catarinense's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Osvaldo Aparecido read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 19th minute of play. In the 20th match minute, Calango Virgulino was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Patrick Catarinense to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 21 minutes, Renan Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formigueiro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renan Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 25 minutes into the game, Paulo Perez was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Formigueiro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Calango Virgulino the free kick. In the 26th match minute, Formigueiro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Paulo Perez to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Patrick Catarinense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Osvaldo Aparecido saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 34thth minute of the game Patrick Catarinense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formigueiro's Osvaldo Aparecido was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Patrick Catarinense's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Osvaldo Aparecido was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. A collision led to Formigueiro getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. Orlando Lopez hit a great ball. In the 47th minute, Gernando Veiga ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Aparecido was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Marcelinho Zonta made a kick off. Osvaldo Aparecido was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Patrick Catarinense showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 59 minute of play. The long shot by Vinícius Mendes in the 64th minute really tested Osvaldo Aparecido's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Osvaldo Aparecido took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gernando Veiga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Formigueiro's zone, Patrick Catarinense stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Aparecido came out of the goal and Patrick Catarinense tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Osvaldo Aparecido showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gernando Veiga in the 75th minute of the match. 85 minutes into the game, Patrick Catarinense recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Osvaldo Aparecido. Patrick Catarinense showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-4. Patrick Catarinense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Osvaldo Aparecido tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 90th minute, Gustavo Novaes ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Osvaldo Aparecido was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-5. After 94 minutes, Patrick Catarinense made it 1-6 with a short kick to the right side. Formigueiro's Osvaldo Aparecido tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Patrick Catarinense could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 98th minute of the match, but Osvaldo Aparecido made a huge save. Calango Virgulino's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
