The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Aras Orak scored 0-1 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Håkon Wheelwright, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Elivélton Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 12th minute, Aras Orak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Barcelona fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. Enio Trigo was a little too slow when Duda Castro got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-2. After 19 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SE Piroxenio! The referee gave Barcelona a penalty, 20 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vladimir Vargas, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SE Piroxenio's Håkon Wheelwright. 1-3. Torbjörn Josefsson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 25th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Elivélton Tinoco had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aras Orak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Håkon Wheelwright having to make a save. Vladimir Vargas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Håkon Wheelwright having to interfere. In the 31st minute, Aras Orak made a precise shot to the right of Håkon Wheelwright. SE Piroxenio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-4. Vladimir Vargas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 38th minute, Aras Orak made a precise shot to the right of Håkon Wheelwright. SE Piroxenio's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-5. Torbjörn Josefsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 45th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-7 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Aras Orak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Aras Orak took the ball and in the 53 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Håkon Wheelwright. Håkon Wheelwright dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-8. Aras Orak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Håkon Wheelwright tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Vladimir Vargas came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Barcelona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Vladimir Vargas couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Barcelona booed when SE Piroxenio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luiz de Amaral didn't get a good kick on the ball. Torbjörn Josefsson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Håkon Wheelwright having to make a save. Elivélton Tinoco might have been able to make a better finish in the 73rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Håkon Wheelwright. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Elivélton Tinoco ran back to his position shaking his head. 75 minutes into the match, Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Duda Castro came free, but Enio Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 76 minutes into the match, Elivélton Tinoco notched a goal, 1-10, to the right of SE Piroxenio's Håkon Wheelwright. Håkon Wheelwright was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the match, Barcelona's goal looked a bit too open when Duda Castro came free, but Enio Trigo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 83rd minute Adhemar de Sousa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Håkon Wheelwright saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Håkon Wheelwright showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from André Vieira in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the match, Barcelona's André Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Håkon Wheelwright narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When Barcelona's André Vieira in the 95th minute got a chance for a shot 95th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SE Piroxenio's goalie prevented a goal. Barcelona played a much better game than SE Piroxenio and deserved their victory. The SE Piroxenio players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
