Claudinei Viana fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Tepedino having to interfere. Jairo Loureiro charged in rather forcefully in the 39th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Clóvis Cerezo was a little too slow when Sandro Alcântara got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 43rd minute. The score was now 1-0. Renatinho Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sandro Alcântara to make the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walmyr Veloso during the 54th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Clóvis Cerezo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. Arnaldo Tepedino made a fantastic save in the 69th minute, when Felippe Alvarenga sent off a good shot on target. Bernardinho Paranaense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arnaldo Tepedino having to interfere. After 80 minutes of play, Jardim do vale's Geovani Magalhães made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Clóvis Cerezo was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Sandro Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Jardim do vale's Sandro Alcântara in the 89th minute got a chance for a shot 89th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ajax FC's goalie prevented a goal. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Jardim do vale had won after a very even match.
