Spectators: 7176 (Terracing: 5384, Seating: 1650, VIP seats: 142) Cristian Tande fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amadeu Velloso having to interfere. Cipriano Queiroz took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eurico Monteiro. Eurico Monteiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. After a rather tough play, Cotias's Jailson Coelho got a free kick in the 12th minute. Eurico Monteiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cipriano Queiroz in the 22nd minute of the match. In the 23rd minute Cacá Neiva shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eurico Monteiro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cipriano Queiroz in the 29th minute of play forced Cotias's goalkeeper Eurico Monteiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eurico Monteiro showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cacá Neiva, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jailson Coelho during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Ji-Paraná FC booed when Cotias was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jailson Coelho didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Cotias's zone, Murillo Falcão stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eurico Monteiro came out of the goal and Murillo Falcão tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 34th play minute Aírton Mangueira came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Amadeu Velloso. 1-2. 48 minutes into the match, Cacá Neiva had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Eurico Monteiro. Cotias's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cacá Neiva was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cristian Tande stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Cotias's goal looked a bit too open when Cacá Neiva came free, but Eurico Monteiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Ji-Paraná FC's zone, Cristian Tande stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amadeu Velloso came out of the goal and Cristian Tande tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cotias's Jailson Coelho quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Ulysses Berger, made in the 57th minute of the game. Eurico Monteiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cacá Neiva in the 62nd minute of play. 64 minutes into the match, Cotias's goalkeeper Eurico Monteiro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cipriano Queiroz. In the 68th minute, Jailson Coelho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cotias's Eurico Monteiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cacá Neiva in the 70th minute of play. Eurico Monteiro was out of position in the 75 minute of play, and Cipriano Queiroz capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Cipriano Queiroz really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. Eurico Monteiro made a fantastic save in the 77th minute, when Cacá Neiva sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Cacá Neiva in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eurico Monteiro saved Cotias from getting behind. When Aírton Mangueira fell near the penalty area in the 79th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Cotias's protests and gave Aírton Mangueira a yellow card for diving instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Cristian Tande during the 81st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Aírton Mangueira came free in the 85th minute and tried to tip the ball over Amadeu Velloso, but to the joy of Ji-Paraná FC's supporters the ball went over. Cristian Tande's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Amadeu Velloso read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. In the 88th minute Aírton Mangueira shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ji-Paraná FC were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over Cotias's much stronger midfield.
