If Caetano Barbosa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Percival Negri managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Dortmund JF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Percival Negri was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Carrancas E.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Dortmund JF were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Antônio Ribeiro made a kick off. Vânderson Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Percival Negri in the 51st minute. In the 56th match minute, Carrancas E.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Paulista to maneuver through the defense. In the 57th minute, Percival Negri got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Caetano Barbosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Antônio Ribeiro blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fred Castro having to make a save. Dortmund JF's Percival Negri got a good chance for a goal in the 72nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 76 minutes into the match, Carrancas E.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Caetano Barbosa came free, but Vânderson Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 76th minute, Hélder Vergílio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the final whistle sounded Dortmund JF left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Carrancas E.C..
