Spectators: 7267 (Terracing: 5452, Seating: 1671, VIP seats: 144) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Cacá Neiva got the match started through his kick off. In the 6th match minute, Ji-Paraná FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cacá Neiva to maneuver through the defense. In the 13th minute, Araguaina Fc's Sílvio Luís Leal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Sílvio Luís Leal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Araguaina Fc protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Sílvio Luís Leal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. After 12 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Araguaina Fc! When the match had been going on for 15 minutes, Ji-Paraná FC's Murillo Falcão got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Amauri de Queirós. Benedito Oliveira charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Benedito Oliveira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Benedito Oliveira hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 23 minutes into the match, Ji-Paraná FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wesley do Vale came free, but Amadeu Velloso reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Amauri de Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Cipriano Queiroz in the 24th minute. Amadeu Velloso took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley do Vale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Wesley do Vale came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Araguaina Fc fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wesley do Vale couldn't finish the play. In the 36th minute, Júlio Salles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Araguaina Fc booed when Ji-Paraná FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abelardo Valadares didn't get a good kick on the ball. Wesley do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Raimundo Mangueira might have been able to make a better finish in the 43rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Raimundo Mangueira ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 44th minute, Wesley do Vale ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Amadeu Velloso was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Araguaina Fc's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Cacá Neiva scored to the left of an out of position Amauri de Queirós, making the score, 2-2. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The wind increased when Wesley do Vale made the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Ji-Paraná FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wesley do Vale. Mário Tande received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Amauri de Queirós tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nelson do Nascimento kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After 60 minutes, Nelson do Nascimento mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Araguaina Fc and the Ji-Paraná FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Nelson do Nascimento hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. After 61 played minutes, Ji-Paraná FC's Murillo Falcão shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Amauri de Queirós came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Ji-Paraná FC reached it. Wesley do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 67th minute Júlio Salles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amadeu Velloso saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Wesley do Vales short, quick shot in the 68thth minute got Amadeu Velloso to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Wesley do Vale might have been able to make a better finish in the 70th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amadeu Velloso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wesley do Vale ran back to his position shaking his head. If Wesley do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Benedito Oliveira hit a great freekick 73 minutes into the match. After 75 minutes of play, Araguaina Fc's Nelson do Nascimento made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Amadeu Velloso was left in no man's land by his defense there! 78 minutes into the match, Ji-Paraná FC's goalkeeper Amadeu Velloso had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Wesley do Vale. Cacá Neiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wesley do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 90 minutes into the match, Araguaina Fc's Wesley do Vale sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Amadeu Velloso narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Wesley do Vale scored 2-4 in the 92nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Amadeu Velloso, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Amadeu Velloso made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wesley do Vale in the 95th minute. After some careless play in the Ji-Paraná FC defense, Mathias Falcão kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Amadeu Velloso. The Ji-Paraná FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Amadeu Velloso should have stopped the shot. The Ji-Paraná FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Araguaina Fc were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
