Spectators: 6500 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1500, VIP seats: 0) When Murilo Xavier fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Araguaina Fc's protests and gave Murilo Xavier a yellow card for diving instead. In the 5th minute, Murilo Xavier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 8thth minute of the game Bernardinho Paranaense who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Araguaina Fc's Amauri de Queirós was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Clóvis Cerezo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Murilo Xavier, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ajax FC's Clóvis Cerezo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley do Vale in the 12th minute of play. In the 14th minute Bernardinho Paranaense shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amauri de Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Araguaina Fc's Amauri de Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Bernardinho Paranaense in the 15th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Murilo Xavier in the 18th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Clóvis Cerezo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clóvis Cerezo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wesley do Vale in the 20th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Wesley do Vale in the 29th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Clóvis Cerezo saved Ajax FC from getting behind. Renatinho Cosme hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Ajax FC defense, Wesley do Vale kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Clóvis Cerezo. The Ajax FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Clóvis Cerezo should have stopped the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 34th minute, Murilo Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araguaina Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clóvis Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Murilo Xavier sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wesley do Vale fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Clóvis Cerezo having to interfere. Rafael de Brito hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. Wesley do Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Murilo Xavier stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felippe Alvarenga in the 51st minute of play forced Araguaina Fc's goalkeeper Amauri de Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Murilo Xavier managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araguaina Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Murilo Xavier was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clóvis Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 57th minute, one of Ajax FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ajax FC. The goalkeeper, Clóvis Cerezo, was totally fooled by Araguaina Fc's Walmir do Vale, who 60 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Raimundo Mangueira managed to get in a good position for a shot. Araguaina Fc's supporters rose to their feet, but Raimundo Mangueira was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Clóvis Cerezo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 66 minutes, Júlio Salles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Araguaina Fc and the Ajax FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Ajax FC booed when Araguaina Fc was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Salles didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Murilo Xavier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 70 played minutes Araguaina Fc got a freekick which was hit by Nelson do Nascimento. Sandrinho Sá took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 71st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Amauri de Queirós. Araguaina Fc's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 72nd match minute, Araguaina Fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mathias Falcão to maneuver through the defense. When Araguaina Fc's Murilo Xavier in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ajax FC's goalie prevented a goal. Renatinho Cosme kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. If Wesley do Vale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Murilo Xavier's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Clóvis Cerezo was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. Wesley do Vale struck a weak shot in the 90th minute. Clóvis Cerezo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Araguaina Fc. Wesley do Vale received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Clóvis Cerezo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ajax FC's Bernardinho Paranaense got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Felippe Alvarenga struck a weak shot in the 98th minute. Amauri de Queirós didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ajax FC.
